WORKING STANDARDS

Working
standards.

Scope, responsibilities, ownership and release arrangements are established in the engagement agreement. The areas below set out what needs to be addressed.

01

Scope & change control

Proposals define deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, responsibilities, fees and timing. New requests are assessed for their effect on scope before work begins.

02

Confidentiality & publication

Some client and partner engagements remain confidential. We publish project details only with permission. Sensitive materials should not be entered into the public project planner. Any additional confidentiality terms belong in the engagement agreement.

03

Ownership & handover

Source access, design assets, content, licences, third-party accounts and operating instructions are identified in the agreement. Ownership and access should be clear before release, including any third-party restrictions.

04

Accessibility & usability

Semantic structure, keyboard access, readable layouts and responsive behaviour are part of the working approach. The required testing depth and any formal accessibility audit are scoped explicitly; no certification is implied.

05

Security & data handling

Assess the information being collected, who needs access and where it is stored. Authentication, payments, sensitive data and external integrations require specific design and review rather than being added by default.

06

Verification & release

Agree the relevant functional journeys and technical checks. Document the intended release, known limitations and recovery route. Automated checks support review; they do not replace judgement.

07

Support & continuity

Hosting, monitoring, third-party subscriptions, maintenance, response targets and ongoing capacity are agreed separately. An ongoing development relationship should have a prioritised scope and clear owner.
